Charlotte Brontë Poetry
Charlotte Brontë (1816-1855) was a Victorian writer who blended the traditions of Gothic novels with the novel of society and manners, as in her masterpiece Jane Eyre. She grew up in an isolated but well-read family on the Haworth moors, where her imagination took flight. Although she is most well-known for her prose, she wrote a number of interesting poems:
