Jane Eyre, the classic 1847 novel by English writer Charlotte Brontë, has been a beloved favorite of generations of readers. It is no surprise, then, that it has been adapted a number of times for the screen. The story, which traces the tumultuous life of heroine Jane Eyre from childhood to adulthood, telling the story of her loveless childhood and her enduring love for the Byronic hero, Mr. Rochester, master of Thornfield Hall, is rife with drama and romance and its easy to see how it lends itself to the medium of film. With so many versions available, we at EIL have decided to provide you with the trailers for our favorite adaptations for screens both big and small.
