Wuthering Heights 1939 movie trailer
The Academy-award nominated 1939 movie of Wuthering Heights, starring Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon, is a well-done black-and-white classic (despite the color photo on the cover of the DVD).
The film includes characters and events from only 16 of the 34 chapter Emily Bronte wrote, so the second generation of characters is completely eliminated. However, this Wuthering Heights 1939 movie has been designated as “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and included in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
